Frequently Asked Questions

What is GLYDE?

GLYDE is a wellness app that helps you observe patterns in your glucose data from continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) connected via Apple Health. It provides AI-powered observational insights — not medical advice.

How do I connect my CGM data?

GLYDE reads glucose data from Apple Health. Make sure your CGM app (Dexcom, Libre, etc.) is syncing to Apple Health, then grant GLYDE permission during onboarding. You can also manage this in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health → GLYDE.

Is GLYDE a medical device?

No. GLYDE is a wellness tool that helps you observe patterns and trends in your glucose data. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.

How do I switch between English and Arabic?

Go to Settings (gear icon on Dashboard) and tap the language option to switch between English and العربية. The entire app will switch to your chosen language, including right-to-left layout for Arabic.

How do I export my data?

Go to the Summary tab, select a date range, and tap "Export Report." GLYDE will generate a PDF wellness report that you can save or share with your healthcare provider.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete All Data. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone. See our Data Deletion Instructions for more details.

Is my health data secure?

Yes. All glucose readings and chat messages are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored. Data is transmitted using TLS 1.3 encryption. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What glucose units are supported?

GLYDE supports both mg/dL and mmol/L. You can switch between them at any time in Settings. All internal calculations use mg/dL for consistency.

Important: GLYDE explains patterns in your data. This is not medical advice. Consult your healthcare provider for health decisions.
